Phosphorus and Lake Water Quality

You may have heard about phosphorous not being a good thing for Highland Lake.  Maybe it 's more about when things get out of balance in a lake such as ours.  Want to understand more about the relationship between water quality here in Highland Lake and phosphorous? (a naturally occurring element in the soil)

 

The previous article "What's happening in Highand Lake" indicated that the algae bloom may be related to increased levels of nutrients in Highland Lake.  Nutrients like Phosphorous.  Too much phosphorous can lead to algae blooms.
